THE FACTS: MY POSITION ON LIFE
My opponent and his allies are spreading distortions and mistruths regarding my position on abortion. Here is the truth:
I believe the decision
made by the people
of Kansas this summer
should be respected. My priorities in this campaign are outlined here.
I have never advocated
for a total ban on abortion
and believe that discussions
about a total ban are
divisive. I am focused on
policy where there is broad
consensus. For instance, I support exceptions for
rape, incest and life of the
mother and will always protect
access to life saving healthcare
for pregnant women.
I do believe that the
commonsense limits on late-term
and taxpayer funded
abortion already on the books
that are supported by a majority
of Kansas families should be
protected.
